The title says it all! It is just that, and delightful it is too. You need to read them, even to yourself, with the rhythm you would use if reading out loud. In fact they beg to be read out loud! Yes, children will enjoy them, but I could imagine them being read to an adult congregation to help get the message of a parable across in fact these would be suitable for many occasions, school assemblies for instance. These are not just the parables in rhyme; there is the setting of the telling too, and a message at the end. For example when the expert in law asked about eternal life there is a quotation from Luke 10 25-37 and starting on the opposite page we are told in rhyme how the question and answer came about followed by a reflection still in the same rhythm. Story Rhyme For Young and Old so which section do I put it in? Hopefully a few key words will bring it to the notice of a wider readership that 4-11. Highly recommended.
